This was a collaboration with Raincloud & Sage, using their Origin base. Though a fairly rustic and hard-wearing yarn, I wanted to give the socks extra strength and durability, which led to the slipped stitch pattern you see today.

    Raincloud & Sage Origin mini skeins 55 yards/50 meters per 25g in colours Yellow and Pink.

  • Smaller needle in size required to obtain gauge. I suggest using 3.5 mm/5 US with a 24 inch/60 cm cable for magic loop or double-pointed needles.

    Larger needle optional for colourwork section. I suggest using 3.75 mm/6 US with a 24 inch/60 cm cable for magic loop or double-pointed needles.

    Recommended to be worn with 0 - 1 inches/0 - 2.5 cm negative ease.

    Sample is size 5 with a mini-gusset and I have an 8.5 inch foot circumference so I have 0.25 inches negative ease.

  • 22 sts by 34 rows over 4 inches/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch swatched in the round with smaller/suggested needle size and after blocking.

  • Two stitch markers and one unique stitch marker, waste yarn, darning needle.
